What Is Line Boring?
Line boring is a precision machining process used to restore damaged or worn bores back to their original specifications. It’s commonly used in pivot points, connection joints, and high-wear areas on heavy machinery. We currently service bore sizes ranging from 45mm to 300mm, accommodating a wide range of equipment and applications.
What Is Bore Welding?
Bore welding involves building up worn bore surfaces with weld material, followed by re-machining (line boring) the bore to its proper diameter. This restores both the structural integrity and proper fitment of pins, bushings, or couplers.
This process is essential for repairing wear in:
- Heavy equipment pin bosses
- Bucket linkages
- Loader arms
- Excavator joints
- Tug boats and steel vessels
- Equipment couplers and attachments
